Absolutely a knockout. Last had almost 2 years ago and the time has been good. Decanted 1.5 hours, still fairly primary - would be a delicious one to age more, but so it goes. Aromatically incredible. So deep on the palate with that perfect refreshing note on the finish. Excellent pairing with fennel rubbed roast chicken, mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat, and oven fries with a tarragon aioli. — 4 months ago
Medium ruby color; cherries, dried herbs, and black plums on the nose; high acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like sour cherries, wet gravel, and cranberries with a long finish. Nellie likes it with the lemon chicken I made. I love it. — 9 months ago
Not to dry and very smooth. A lot of fruity flavors — 3 years ago
Blueberries cassis chocolate violet prune. Slightly chewy medium tannin. Medium minus acidity. Well balanced. Warm mouthfeel. Some jammyness comes a bit later. — 7 years ago
My favorite of Orvieto wines. — 9 years ago
Quite deep ruby , with a wide garnet rim, quite young looking. Dried herbs , smoked meat , red cherry, violets , liquorice and antique furniture polish notes . On the palate quite round and rich, sweet red fruits , with that herbal tinge , those liquorice and charcuterie notes also evident . This in fact still shows well a day later , still quite full and rich , with red plum and black cherry notes . Quite good acidity , with quite gritty tannins, balanced alcohol . Decent length . This is very good now though no rush , mature but will continue to show well for a while longer , from now over the next 5 years . Antics Terra Collective Tasting. A dark, brooding pinot from a hot year in Willamette, full of bramble, dark blackberry, saline, blueberry pie filling. Super dry with big tannins. Unique and one of a kind. — 8 months ago
Light golden color, restrained nose of yellow fruit maybe even yellow kiwi. Rich and round, ripe yellow apples, some stone, decent acidity. Needs time for tertiary notes that seem like they’d be interesting. Maybe a bit low on acid, although the mineral and reductive note keep it pretty well balanced. — 2 years ago
Light, tart, not bubbly. Easy summer wine, pairs well with both white and red meat. — 7 years ago
In a line up with GC burgundy, blinded. Had everyone fooled. Volcanic shallow soil and young vines. Meticulous berry sorting.
Shows Oregon can produce wines of world class potential. Still a baby. Cooler vintage less critically acclaimed, but probably more aligned with burgundy lover preferences. — 7 years ago
you’d never think a sangiovese / merlot / cab sav / syrah mix at this price point would have so much life to it — 4 months ago
5 months ago
Dark fruit, earthy but lively and mineral. Great example but lacks the oomph to justify the steep price — 6 months ago
Final wine from our tasting at Antinori just outside Florence in their state of the art facility. All 3 wines matured in French or Hungarian Barriques. Initial barnyard aromas which blew off to reveal florals like lavender and peony. Oak is perfectly balanced and does not intrude in any of the 3 wines tasted. This district is not traditional for Syrah (only since 2000) but suits it perfectly - sandy soils. More savoury and meaty than fruit driven. — 8 months ago
Easy to drink and flavourful. — 4 years ago
Creamy, butter, still light enough to enjoy in summer — 7 years ago
Dulce intenso con sabor a moho de pasas maduras. — 8 years ago
Elegant - color still good, tastes of cocoa powder and earth with finely integrated tannins. Unfortunately this was the last bottle. — 9 years ago
Super intense mountain fruit on this Cab. Loved drinking it. — 9 years ago

Deep ruby coloration. No translucency. On the nose, cherry, plum, forest floor, oak and vanilla. On the palate, full bodied, cherry, plum, spice, pepper, and long finish of vanilla and cherry. Very nice value wine. — 2 months ago
