Highly aromatic, apricot, full-bodied, medium alcohol. — 8 years ago

Breaktime from Xmas shopping with a refreshing lift from the Isarco Valley. Kerner is a personal favorite. With its lilting crisp acidity, white florals, honey, slate, and ripe green apple. Tiny bit of flabbiness which I'll chalk up to a bad vintage but makes up for it with a reasonably long finish. — 10 years ago
— 10 years ago
Andreas nails it again. Lots going on, great acid — 13 years ago
Love this wine, we paid 36 USD. Worth every penny — 6 years ago
Explosive, blazingly bright, aromatic fireworks. — 9 years ago
One day I'm going to qualify in my mind how Laibel is different than producers from other, more exalted Riesling regions. For now, the best I can do is to say that the Klingelberger is to a dry wine from the Wonnegau as a great and classic Chablis is to a wine from Puligny or Chassagne. It's really a quiet sort of excellence and a subtle beauty. — 10 years ago
Drank this a few nights ago, very interesting. Good acidity, aroma and flavors. Thanks Alessandro! — 10 years ago
Alpine Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Petit Manseng? Super cool and surprising. Nice palate weight from the Chard, nervy herbal tension from the PB and PM. Captivating. Thanks @Patrick Ballow #OliverMcCrum — 11 years ago
One of my all time favorites. Great acidity with loads of lychee and pear fruit. Another gorgeous gem from Andreas. — 11 years ago

Weingut Werlitsch Freude 2015 biodynamic farming on steep hills in Styria. Sauv Blanc 50% and Chardonnay 50% grown on chalky marl, skin fermented for 2 weeks and aged on lees in large oak casks for 2 years. From Austria 13% ABV importer by winemonger — 7 years ago
1997 vintage. Very special. Fragrant on the nose - stewed fruit, dried herbs - a bit like a pot pouri. Smooth in the mouth, not too tanic. Excellent — 8 years ago
This is the kind of thing you can only get inexpensively in Europe. Crispness belying it’s age. The vegetal notes from the Sauvignon balanced by the Chardonnay. I’d love to try it again in a decade. This was superb. — 8 years ago
Evolving beautifully and at a great stage right now. — 10 years ago
Green Muscat from Austria. This is the first time I've had this varietal. Very unique nose of soap stone. Really enjoyed this wine. Kudos to Dr Carney. — 10 years ago
Huge fan of Weissburgunder of late, more so than the "Pinot Blanc" that I have had from Alsace or Oregon. The minerality and precision that this grape gives you in the right terroir and dutiful hands that don't do too much is enlightening! #weissburgunder #wine — 10 years ago

Probably one the best wines I have had! This was Christmas Eve 2014, but I still remember it! — 10 years ago
Pacherhof Sylvaner. Medium body, crisp with the right amount of fruit and hint of acacia and toasted almond... — 12 years ago

A genius Klingelberger. What a nose. So floral. Flower shop levels. Little shop of insane dry Riesling. Gorgeous Mosel like fruit. Smells ripe and sweet but also bone dry. Green apples. Pear. Apricot. So vivid and detailed. Just wonderful. Lime blossom, sweet lime. Endless aromas. Fresh field level 10. But also rock quarry. Staggering young Klingelberger aromas. Palate is epic like a Norwegian Viking documentary epic. Dense, structured, deep man is this deep with just stunning purity and freshness. So vivid and so detailed. This is god level balance. So long. Never ends. The purity of this wine is just incredible. Amazing finesse and elegance and screamingly mineral and very very complex on the finish. This is a staggering young Klingelberger. 9.7. Yup. Just genius. Amazing concentration and depth. Really I can’t get over how good this is. — 6 years ago
