Alsace AOC Muscat 2016

Medium lemon color with aromas of ripe fruit, honeysuckle and sweet citrus. On the palate flavors of ripe fruit, citrus and pear with honey, vivid acidity on medium finish ending dry with a fruit character. — 4 years ago

Edmond Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Brilliant Sancerre with a very light oak influence. Great minerality with chalk and flint happily supporting grapefruit, lemon, apple and a whiff of cut grass. Great depth, firm acidity and very expressive. A tremendous example of upscale Sauvignon blanc — 7 years ago

Trois Chateaux Eichberg Alsace Grand Cru Riesling 2017

Saline, mineral, and plenty of length. Still tightly coiled at this stage. Restrained nose. Kuentz-Bas does fermentation and aging in stainless steel for their grand crus. Really comes through in the wine. It’s like the Louis Michel of Alsace. — 4 years ago

It was... ok. Normally I don’t crave Sancerre and this one was pretty by the book. Lemon peel and lemon pith (finish was a little bitter), straw yellow in the glass with light body. — 6 years ago

Alsace Pinot Blanc 2017

Nose of lemon meringue, coconut, and seashells. Very pretty.

Lean and focused on the palate. Lots of citrusy acidity layered with some of the richer tropical notes and minerality. Good length.

Great aperitif for these hotter months and a good value. More please!

La Demoiselle Sancerre Rouge Pinot Noir 2015

Really an excellent Pinot noir from Sancerre. After my wife and I took a sip we both exclaimed that we need to start buying more Sancerre rouge - just a great quality / price ratio, especially for Pinot noir. This is ruby red, with a dusty cherry nose. A touch restrained on the palate with lots of minerality coming through - great cherry notes on the palate, long finish. Really nice. — 6 years ago

Right wine, wrong spelling of Cru.
Fresh-pressed apple cider, like you’re at the apple orchard/farm in the fall.

En Grands Champs Sancerre Pinot Noir 2012

Truly stunning- a complete wine with power and finesse. Bursting with sweet red fruit. Intense minerality. Ample weight without feeling heavy, and a finish that seems to last all day. The delicacy and sweetness of Volnay with the power and structure of Gevrey. Leather, licorice, tobacco, smoke. In a blind tasting this would be hard for me to differentiate from a 1er cru Burgundy. Easily the best Sancerre rouge I’ve had the opportunity to taste. Will age for 15 years or more. Gorgeous wine. — 8 years ago
