Drunk too young. Dark cherries, blackberries and raspberries wrapped in fine oak. Full bodied, tannins getting there, fine acidity and length — 5 years ago

Good though lost interest before the bottle was empty. — 10 years ago
Of six RdDs, this was my favorite. At bit closed at first, then smoky meats and raisins. Full bodied and powerful with ripe cherries, oak and chocolate on the finish. Surprising, since it was one of the cheapest of the evening. — 10 years ago

Full body, good. En la Cena con Mikel Alonso me pareció buenisimo, ya después demasiado pesado. — 5 years ago

Nice freaking work, Jasper! — 9 years ago
Tempranillo - somewhat a chameleon - is a varietal I almost always enjoy in any expression. This Paso Robles version shows the darker side of its fruits with plum, amarena cherry, and mission fig. There's an initial impression of broken gray earth that builds as the nose opens and gains complexity with dried sage, fennel pollen, and dare I say. ..a whisper of American oak. The tailored structure impresses Ribera del Duero in my mind and I want to open this again sometime. ... side by side with something like Alonso del Yerro's Maria. — 9 years ago
Alonso popped this for my BD. It was good but still young. — 10 years ago
Medium minus acidity I think, even though the bottles says it’s very acidic, with a medium body and a kick of alcohol. I get citrusy notes like lime in this, which I really like, but might be wrong. SO was tipsy already but enjoyed it. — 5 years ago

Tastes like candy! And even better the second day. (Silverlake) — 7 years ago
Elegant. Not too much alcohol, so great for pairing. Raised at high altitude, so ripening takes longer. — 8 years ago
We are at a Barolo tasting paired with dishes from Tuscany. So far it is our favorite. Kate says its buttery ! Dimelo rapido @Leeanne Alonso @Peter Greenberg — 9 years ago

From the best blend of selected grapes comes this "Alonso Branco" out of Carlos Alonso Douro Wines. Fermented at low temperatures, to best keep the varietal flavours. On the nose is rich and complex with notes of tropical fruits, young and fresh, with a long finish on the mouth, serve chilled at 8-10•c as an aperitif, with salads, fish or seafood — 12 years ago
