Impressive for Lufthansa to serve this independent Champagne in their first class! — 8 years ago
2012 Vintage, the essence and depth of a good quality Pinot. Loved it. — 9 years ago
Just what I was looking for in a rose at that price point. It could be a little drier but it was lovely on a warm French Alps day — 10 years ago
White truffle and biscuity yeast-ness. Brioche, lemon and cooked lime, clean floral reminiscent of magnolia, but much less pungent. Immediate lemon curd, lemon zest and pith atop the aforementioned brioche, and a chalky minerality to the texture. Nice, sustained resonance of pomelo and lime. — 6 years ago
Surprising. Fruit-forward but not overwhelming, nice tannic balance, low-medium acid. — 7 years ago
One of my last bottles of B&H firewater. This is better integrated than the last, but still not where my palate is today. Super dark and rich, with black fruit and just a touch of heat. Drink up. — 8 years ago

Pontet Canet tasting and dinner with Alfred Tesseron.
2016 is such a beautifully, ripe and elegant vintage. The 16 stands tall from the other vintages we tasted.
The body is rich, bold and thick. Beautiful dark fruits of ripe, ruby; blackberries, plum, dark cherries, strawberries and amazing blue fruits shine as it sit on the palate. There is more balance in the 16...fruits and earth. Saddle-wood, tobacco, leather, dry soil, dry & moist clay, dry stone, rich dark earth, lead pencil, bright, fresh, red, blue, dark flowers with violets. Very nice acidity with a beautiful finish.
Don’t even touch a bottle for 15 plus years. This nice now but, you will only be cheating yourself out of a very special wine 15 plus years from now.

2016 vintage, purchased it based on previous year's reviews. GO purchase under $5. Wow, I will buy a case & age it for 4-7 years. There's tropical fruit and Alsatian minerals somewhere hiding. Would love to see what this vineyard could do with a late harvest Chenin Blanc from Oregon or Wa. Frizzante was an unexpected, yet appreciated touch. — 8 years ago
Deep ruby color. Nice floral tones on the nose with violets and lavender as well as black currants and tobacco. Juicy and very soft on the palate at this point with restrained tannins and acidity. Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Petit Verdot. — 9 years ago
Toasty and nutty up front, juicy Pinot in the middle, acidic kick on the back end. For less than $50? J'adore. — 10 years ago
This is a thing around here these days. That's cool though. Anytime fellas. Anytime. — 10 years ago
