Such a nerdy wine. Non-filtered means the wine looks like a light colored iron-y blood type of liquid, and it tastes delicious. The nose and palate are deliciously peppery, with juicy red and black berries and a moderate amount of acidity. I love this and I'm a wine geek. — 11 years ago

I've had a few wonderful meals at Leuca in Williamsburg recently because the in-laws spent a few weeks staying at the (very chic) hotel that houses the restaurant.
We had intended to go to a nearby French restaurant but our reservation was messed up so we retreated to reliable Leuca. I brought along this Pommard (thinking about the anticipated cuisine) and it was delicious. Bright cherries underpinned by an earthiness and a lavender lift. It has considerable depth and at eight years old is drinking beautifully right now. — 8 years ago

Our unintended yet delightful meal at Leuca ended with a small pour of this grappa. I haven't been one to drink grappa since doing a spot of archaeology in Albania some years back where we would down tumblers full to kill off the bad stuff from the mountains of mussels we'd eat. Grappa and Raki - I never got sick thanks to that duo.
