Unfortunately, it was totally oxidated, which is weird but these wines from the 1990s don’t seem to have the longevity of the wines from the 1960s or even 1970s. This bottle in particular was always kept on its side in cool dark basements not totally temperature controlled, but in no way you should have suffered or had a problem and the cork was perfectly fine when extracted so it seems to me like the cork was a good quality cork. #premox#vegasicilia#riberadelduero

#VegaSicilia#Unico#1994 This is officially my favorite bottle of wine that I've ever tasted. Black Cherry, Tangy Blackberry, Cassis, Clove, herbaceous, Big Acidity, endlessly layered. It almost changed with each sip over the course of 2 hours. Became spicier as it opened up in the decanter. This wine has a long life ahead of it still... I drank this with (my favorite) Mexican Food from @CasaVega Cheese Enchiladas, guacamole, chips & salsa... & it paired Beautifully!! A moment I won't forget... I'm in love❤️ #DrinkThis
