Adega Regional De Colares

Quinta de Foz de Arouce

Vinho Regional Beiras Red Blend 2012

Interesting red blend that features the Baga (85%) grape. Blended with Touriga National (15%). Very dark color but lighter in body than I would have expected. Bright and jammy red fruit aromas and flavors with hints of prunes and dark chocolate. Solid acidity and very long finish. Moderate finish and tannins. In a very good place right now. Thanks for sharing and insisting we open this one, Ron B! — 4 years ago

Glazebrook Regional Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with herb floral notes. On the palate flavors of grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit with some grassy tones, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, earthy herbs, floral, grassy and mineral notes. — 3 years ago

Herdade do Mouchão

Mouchão Vinho Regional Alicante Bouschet 2011

Rich, ripe red and black fruit turning baked and dried, lots of musky smoke and mild meatiness. Red earth. Tannins resolved. Acid moderate. Yummy and distinctive. As it warmed up it relaxed in a nice way. — 4 years ago

Vinhas Velhas (Branco) Vinho Regional Beiras White Blend 2015

— 7 years ago

One of the rare, growingly extinct wine regions in the world-a coastal area near Lisbon, 50 acres left- that’s it. Ramisco is a red varietal, High acid, low alcohol- only older vintages released. Bons Ventos Vinho Regional Lisboa Red Blend 2014

Absolutely incredible value for money. VERY fruit forward, with “Touriga Nacional” in the front of the queue, if you don’t like port or fruity wines, stay away from this one, but for an amazingly drinkable daily “Table Wine” at around AU$ 10.00 a bottle? This is a winner on every level.
