Delish! Thanks Rick Hill, Tantara's winemaker! To think an accidental cross between this and Sauvignon Blanc would produce Cabernet Sauvignon in 1600's France — 10 years ago

One year later...revisiting the 2013 Mateo Vineyard in Santa Ynez valley. Overt Opulence of fruit, tannins smoothed out, palate clearing acidity on a black-purple teeth stainer of a wine!An accidental purchase, but a pleasant one- sweet, certainly but with a delicate fizz. Be certain to chill properly before opening. Best with light desserts and fruit but surprisingly capable with steak, somehow. — 10 years ago
Love this Niner Pinot noir. Easy and pleasant. @Accidental Wine Snob — 11 years ago
the result of accidental pruning of a Grenache plot to a yield of 12/ha. Deep robe. A slightly aldehydic whiff blows off to reveal plush strawberry, cherry nose with some nutmeg spice. Hugely concentrated on the palate. Huge fruit, with some dried figs and cherries. A very unusual Grenache, a profound effort. — 11 years ago
One of my accidental but wonderful purchases! — 11 years ago
