This wine was a gift from friends staying at our condo. You are welcome back anytime. Rich, robust red wine, great with pasta! Perfect! — 10 years ago
Popped 1 of my 3 bottles to celebrate two friends turning 50 at Factory Kitchen. 50 year old California Cab with finesse, balance, and though I wouldn't expect it to improve over time, it was fantastic and quintessential old school cab from without a doubt one of my favorite California producers. Just lovely! — 11 years ago
The recipe for greatness in this bottle, equal parts:
• Rutherford's stony, alluvial soil
• Cathy's sage-like light touch in the winery
• The patience for tannin, fruit & mineral characters to become perfectly in sync dance partners
• The generosity of friends to share
• Outstanding drinking companions — 12 years ago

Spicy and bold! Slightly sweet. — 13 years ago
This old and empty bottle I drank with friends and family members on my Birthday it's a Magnum and wasn't as well cared for as another Magnum of Chateau Talbot also a 1949 Magnum also drank on my birthday with friends who as well as me, are old farts or dead. I'm still kicking but not a clue as to why? Possibly the fine wine I/we consumed? The Talbot was considerably better and I paid less for it back in the 70's. Drank it in 1979 it & me were 30 back then. I loved it then and my guess is I'd love it today!

Monkey 47 Dry Distiller Gin. Slightly hazy, water white, colourless. Pronounced intensity of perfume, juniper, lingonberry, violets, lavender, orange and grapefruit zest. With water added, more perfume and citrus notes to the fore. Dry on the palate. Warming alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity. Long finish. Very complex. Outstanding example of a premium gin. — 11 years ago
