Plavac is a close relative of Zinfandel that is still widely grown in their ancestral home of Croatia. Softer and less boisterous than its well known American cousin. Black tea, licorice, and pepper back up the fruit notes of black cherry and blackberries.

Crazy mulchy, fennel seed, caraway seed, dried herb and dried fruit nose. Totally punches above its weight, if you ask me.

Medium body. Red fruit notes, black tea and herbal notes. Very fresh. Funky natural wine. Lots of natural funk notes on the nose.

Dry with cherries and licorice. I rarely pair my wine with food but I think this would go well with steak. I rarely eat steak but after tasting this wine, I just had a thought about a nice medium rare filet mignon.
