Had this wine over a year ago at the winery itself and picked up this bottle out of fondness for the time spent there. Worth it.
Nose of ash and tobacco with a tart boysenberry tinge to it. The palate is big and juicy, with that tobacco note providing some nice balance. This is a wine you want to drink and drink, just dry enough and with just enough acid you can taste it for a minute afterwards.

Tastes like rhone. But a damn good rhone. Full bodied with great acid and even some slight garrigue notes behind the luscious red fruit.

Garnet red to the eye, with toasty oak and booze in the bouquet. Balanced fruit and acidity, very present oaky tannins, hints of pepper, medium length finish. Not bad at all!

Tried the 2010; noticeably acidic, very smokey finish. Not as good or smooth to me as the 2009.
