Earth-strawberry-baking spice. At first this wine was intense smoke-earth-tobacco-stems, then opened up to nice fruit-berries and warm spices-potpourri. Medium body, balanced palate and finish. Not much acidity and light-quick finish. Second day light perfume on nose, less smoke and stem notes, more strawberry licorice notes.

A little slow out of the gates, but once some air got into it, the wine was showing pretty well. Lighter-bodied style of Pinot with good balance. A cool combo of fruit and earth...strawberries, mushrooms and spice. 2013 vintage.
