Hirsch Vineyard Pinot Noir

Bad corks these wines - a lot. They were so good for a little while.

What a Friday group tasting put on by Dan! Killer wines. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert. All blind.

I guessed Cali Pinot here, and assumed it was mid-2000s, so I got both of those but got convinced this was a Calera. This had a bit more cola and cedar/spice than the other pinots after it.

A year too late or perhaps bad storage but still very good.

A bit acidic but otherwise more going on than the bowl of cherries that often is the story of Cali Pinot

So great to drink this wine at last night's Hirsch designate dinner. Hadn't tasted it since release.

One on the betterearly styles before selling out...did I say that 🎃

Still showing quite well. Spicy with chocolate undertones.

Kick ass stuff. Raspberry and coffee. Spicy. Deep cherry and cran. Nice acid. Aged really well.

The best Williams Selyem that I've had in years.

Nothing better than a tasty wine after a long day. Juicy nice balance between the fruit and darker notes. It seems more RRV than Sonoma coast.
