[This review for WVV’s AVA Series - Ribbon Ridge bottling, not on Delectable.] Intense and beautifully perfumed, red florals, super ripe black cherry, and cherry menthol candy. Warm baking spices, musk and soil. Roughly 30% new oak is nicely integrated, adding vanilla and cocoa aromas and a smooth mouthfeel. Tannins are silky and soft, in balance with the wine’s mild but juicy acidity. Only downside here is a bit of alcohol heat, both on the nose and on the palate. Label says 13.7% but it feels low. Really enjoyed this bottle, would love to try more in this series.

Awesome! This was a gift from a new neighbor, already 5 years old when we received it, so we opened it right away. Excellent!
