Lovely nose. Just lovely. Sage, grapefruit, spice, just ripened pineapple, awesome saltiness, greengage, so complex and so so aromatic. A true perfumed stank. Palate is elegant and comply with terrific juiciness and nice bitter streak on the finish. So elegant as well and a nice long finish.

Killer scheurebe. At first it’s lemony and grapefruitful and closed fisted, but with an hour of air it starts to taste like confectioners sugar and then brown sugar and then it gets rich and lychee like, and in its final stages it’s like durian. The structure of mineral acids is great, like static electricity in your glass. Goes great w Chinese shrimp dumplings, great with pea shoots and garlic, eat it with chili oil. It’s a very good scheurebe, and it’s got the legs to live a lot longer if you’ve got the patience.

Fantastic aromatics. Don’t drink this too cold. Hint of sour apple gummy bears - Grapefruit, Lime, Meyer Lemmon hint of underripe Kiwi 🥝. Long. Less acid than a Riesling. Drink now perfect for Thanksgiving.

A fantastic wine. But let it warm up! I drank it at almost room temp. Scheurebe was developed by Georg Scheu in 1916. A cross of the Bukettraube with Riesling and it shows! Super aromatic, white grapefruit, herbs, touch of marjoram? Green apple. Hint of mandarine zest. Tart. Less acidic then Riesling!
