Great mineral, zest and weight. Awesome with a spicy ramen bowl.

Dry, minerally and a typical sourness of a Rheingau wine. $18 from K&L. Drank this on a special occasion at Bear Valley Inn, Olema

Just lovely. Spice, dried fruit, sudz. Raging acid and apricot. Mm mm good

Loved this sweet little riesling! Stood out to me at a Leitz tasting.

Lime zest and peaches, wet rocks. Great floral component and good weight. Nice acid.

Sweet good balance to the spicy food

Sometimes in Germany this is a typical use for a (schorle). Half and half of this wine and some spritzer water. Amazing pair with some salty blew cheese and prosciutto. Not too sweet where it's a dessert wine.
Spätalese (schpait-lay-za)
Means late harvest, and the level of grapes at the time of harvest. More fertile soils. More water retention. The bread and butter wine of Leitz. Single vineyard; magdalenekreuz (the cross of Mary Magdalene which is still in the vineyard to this day to ward off the plague).

Crisp tree fruits, mad acidity, slate, not too sweet or viscous... Delicious!
