Dec 26th, 2021Deep ruby with medium garnet and wide, clear edges. A bit of a shy nose upon opening showing stewed plums, raspberries, and earthy forest. This is one of the cleanest Cabs I can remember drinking. Almost pristine, there’s no real hint of flabbiness on one end, or funk, on the other. Some wines like this do tend to lack personality but this one manages to dodge that with beautiful fruit and complexity. Medium acidity and near full bodied, it’s wonderfully dry. All the fruit you could want without ever coming near fruit bomb status. Milk chocolate, coffee beans, and some pretty impressive spice mingle with the red and blue fruits on the palate. Nice length on the finish leaving notes of vanilla. Super pleasant and uncommonly clean.
