Update Day 2: I really liked this even more on day as everything grew on the below from day 1, the palate and the intensity all went up 2 notches! This exceeds the really good 2018 and should easily have the stuffing to age which is why this grape is getting so much attention in Barolo these days.
Day 1: I just tasted this last night, I got into a bottle and will see how it evolves over a few days. Preliminarily this is really good, better than the very good 2018 I last had at this stage, as it should be as it's a better vintage. The nose is med/med+, as this grape is typically more pronounced in flavor than aroma, where the flavors here are more med+. The coravin glass I had opened up nicely over 30 minutes, deepening with notes of apples and peach, a light background touch of honey and almonds, subtle and elegant minerality underpins it all. Med+ finish shows the texture this grape is know for in a med+ weight.

Leave open at least 30 minutes before consuming. Then the strong lemon flavor dissipates and a clean, slightly oxidized, vanilla and cream flavor emerge. Nose is passion fruit. Great choice with vegetables.

Enjoyable, just needs some age to it.

On the nose, lemon peel, honey, roasted nuts, and some wet gravel, buttery texture and medium high acidity, long pleasant saline aftertaste. Wonderful.
