found this in the back of the cellar under a couple of old petite syrahs. thought I waited too long. Still very fresh. had a bit of heat so chilled it down a bit. incredibly smooth with nice zin taste.

There is no quit in this Zin. Still full of fresh, dark fruit, zippy acidity, seamless tannins and some port like qualities belying its age, it absolutely sung 23 years after harvest.

This may be the highest ABV wine I've ever had at 16.5%. But somehow it's still fairly balanced. Blackberries and briars, resolved tannin. Lovely.
