Inky deep purple. Briar, red berries, black currant and higher alcohol notes in nose. Cherry leather, bing cherry, lactic acid in mouth, slightly hot. Fine grain astringency and some seed bitterness. Old school California Barbera, what's not to like? Good value for what it is. (Castoro Cellar is the producer, get to know them better)

Tastes like a Cab...it's my first Barbera. Fruit forward and smooth with a nice finish. A hint of sweetness. Really great!!
