Beautiful color of dark purple with a wide purplish rim.

Nice nose of black currants, plums, cherries, chocolates, smoke, licorice, oak, light vanilla, parsley, tobacco, vegetables, forest floor, green pepper, celery and peppercorn.

Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, black pepper, graphite, wet rocks, tobacco and vegetables.

Long finish with velvety tannins and black pepper.

This Malbec blend from Mendoza is drinking very nicely now. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Very gentle and smooth.

Needs 30 minutes to open up properly and becomes very earthy after an hour. Probably on the way out.

I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.

A blend of 60% Malbec and the rest Bonarda.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

$20.

Dark inky in color with a purplish rim.

Strong earthy nose of black currants, blackberries, wood, light vanilla, tobacco, vegetables, forest floor, smoke, bell pepper, herbs, alcohol, spices, earth, dill, dark coffee and peppercorn.

Full bodied, smooth and spicy, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, mushrooms, black tea, forest floor, tobacco, herbs, spices, vegetables, animal notes and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins, pepper and tart raspberries.

This Argentinian Malbec Blend is very earthy. Showing nice complexity but lacking balance. A good food wine, but not a sipping wine. Spicy and interesting, but was probably better a year or two ago.

Needed 90 minutes to open up properly. This is not my style, but it is showing good quality.

Fruity. Maybe a bit too fruity. Would love some spice to balance it out, but a pleasing and delicate wine. Just not entirely what I wanted.

ok Enjoyable aroma and full flavor. Hit of tannin but not detracting, just needs a spicy pairing.

Lots of fruit w plums, currants and red cherries. Some cocoa powder and some cedar followed by a solid splash of drying tannin. Overall really good stuff.
