Cheap whole foods Chardonnay. For the price, totally worth it! Great for absent-minded drinking and cooking

Store: Whole Foods
Price: $2.50

Appearance: Clear medium lemon

Nose: Clean, extremely light lemon, mainly the smell of alcohol

Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium minus body. Flavors: very nondescript, lemon zest and a hint of stainless steel at best. No Oak.

Finish: Short

Conclusion: For $2.50, this is a very good Chardonnay.

Commentary: If you can only afford to spend $2.50 on a bottle of wine, you can do a whole lot worse. Has my support for a wine in the under $5 category. Props for easy removed synthetic cork, and light weight glass. ABV is a mere 12.5%, which I believe is why this wine is successful.
