On this Sunday night I have opened the 2010 The Eyrie Vineyards Estate Grown Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, licorice, smokey oak and a peppery earthiness and a bit of funk.

On the palate I am getting sour cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, peppery earthiness and a good portion of smokey oak.

This wine I am pleasantly surprised is in as good condition as it is. The wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that has a long sour cherry oaky earthiness finish. I am not a big oak fan but this blends well in the complexity of soul of this wine. We have made it into the new year of 2021 and I wish everyone health, prosperity and happiness for the new year. Stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Starts off light but opens up nicely if you give it some time. Earthy and very exotic spices.

2010 vintage - tasted after a biggish Burgundy - light, thin, sweet & delicious - drink now as nowhere to go IMO

I asked for barnyard, I got barnyard! Blew off (mostly). Good acidity, savory, sage. Perfect for a rainy night in St H.

Needs more time. Give it a good decant, will open up to nice mineral and fruit

Med red color. Cherry, raspberry and anise on the nose with a little funk and vegetal notes. Orange peel, vanilla and bing cherry on the palate with light tannins.
