The Federalist Lodi Zinfandel

It was ok. Very sweet, lots of jam and raspberry notes to it. Easy to drink though. Medium body.

Happy National Drink Wine Day, kiddies! I figured an overtly nationalistic wine in the appropriate stemware was called for. 'Murica!

So the nose is a little off; kinda like a light fresh cheese mixed with dark fruit. But not really in a bad way. It's more bramble and blackcurrant on the palate, and I'm getting some meatiness as it opens up on me. Dark fruit, sorta unctuous. Hell, I kinda dig it. Wish I had a steak.

Fruitier Zin

A bit light and too sweet for my taste.

Very enjoyable Zin, strong and sweet, plums and 15% alcohol are superbly entertaining.

Spicy. Big Zin. Long legs. Underrated.

West central wine quarterly wine club. Ripe cherries upfront. Taste of berries and raspberries in the middle. Fruity end.

A little sweet which at first concerned me but then I get this wonderful blackberry flavor and there’s a nice subtle bit of tannin at the end.

Nice drink ability, fruity. Not rich. But good.
