Firstly I was very pleased to have identified this blind as one made from mainly Cab and probably from Bolgheri. Nailed it. Bold and giving with good backbone and finish. A very good, good value choice.

Tenuta Argentiera Villa Donoratico Bolgheri DOC 2016: Full-bodied. Big. Bold. Dark fruit. Firm tannins that need to relax. Overall, a sophisticated Italian Bordeaux blend consisting of 40/30/20/10 however time is the key component here to really see this wine shine. Cheersπ·

Villa Donoratico was bought by owners of Tenuta Argentiera a while ago. Vineyard for this wine are mainly planted on the northeast part of their owning. Compared to Poggio ai Ginepri in here you'll find much more elegant and not that bold style of wine. Nose are full of liquorice, smoke and leather. There are a lot of black fruits as well, but not that much as in the previous one. It is important that the fermentation of each different grape variety was separate.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Brimming with plum, dark cherry and blackberry fruit, with cedar, spice, graphite and licorice. Rich and tannic, with nice balance.
