Vintage Port Blend

Beautiful stuff. Settled fruit and soft sweetness. Long and complex. So good.

Deep mahagony, aromas composed of grassy, rhummy spirit, cherry pit, kirsch, hint of iron oxide, fruity roasted cacao. So complex. A great treat from @AurelioCabestrero.

An intense nose with woodiness, some settled kirsch, soft candied cherry. On the palate sweet red fruit with a cough syrup note and loads of complexity. Very fine and long.

Admittedly lack depth of experience with these wines, but thought this was excellent . Candied red fruit.

Lovely older Porto, seems consistent with my perception of Taylor as big structure, and a tad drier style, only nit might be that it seemed initially like the spirit and Porto were no longer in total harmony, but still really fine!

Garnet core, light rim. Spiced plum and mature black fruits. On the palate more plum and licorice, chocolate , lovely long palate . Very rewarding acidity also , very nice balance. Complex and complete , perfect now, though no rush . This was a mid shoulder bottle, alcohol in check, not overly spirity. Very good

Smooth and at its apex, coffee and chocolate throughout. Such an enjoyable port after a wonderful night of wine and food

High toned nose. Really bright red fruit. Clarity and intensity. Resolved but a touch alcoholic

Taylor's 1970 vintage port. Delicious.
