For me the question for this cuvée is never, “ is it good?”. The question is , “how good is it?” Not as powerful as other vintages but it makes up for it with balance and complexity. I am sure this will age but it is in a very good drinking window right now.

Happy Anniversary Sofia. I miss you honey and will forever! Cortona calling. Cheers! 🍾🥂

I had this a few years ago and thought this needed another 3-4…apparently wasn’t wrong. Not as stellar as the 07. Starting come into its own. Golden apple, green apple, lime pulp, tropical melon, just ripe pineapple, ripe pear, vanillin, caramel, cream, sea spray, alluvial limestone minerals, beautiful mid grain chalkiness, brioche, baguette crust, nice, soft yeastiness, jasmine, yellow lilies, really nice acidity, well structured, balanced, delicious finish that lasts two-minutes. 🌹

Plush and sweet edges. Chalky stone, citrus. Lovely zesty balance and good acidity

Simply one of my favorite Champagnes in existence. I love it for its gorgeous marriage of fresh green apple and the toastier lemon and brioche notes of a long-lees-aged Chardonnay. Saline and just a touch of butterscotch to finish. So delightful.

Bright, light lemon. Chalk, steeliness. Very dynamic and pretty with a saline edge… delicious and drinking brilliantly now. Thanks Will!

Nice straw color. Youthful. Notes of fresh bread, citrus and stone. Good weight and impact in the mouth. Really liked this.

Fresh, punchy and full of life. Lemon, limestone, chalk, lifted white flowers. Great fun

Absolutely gorgeous champagne that is right down the middle in terms of style. Tart lemon, toast, chalk, and a hint of nuttiness. Sharp and acidic but tons of layers here. Continuously evolving on the palate revealing limestone, powder sugar dusted lemon bars, and roasted almonds. This is built for the long haul, but certainly enjoyable now. Thanks @Mark Flesher .
