You can see the Beaucastel influence in all their wines, and the Paso Robles Mourvedre is no exception. Sanguine, leathery, wild berries on the nose. Gorgeous structure, medium tannins and nice acid to brighten the finish.

2016 - Quite delicious! Good structure without chalkiness. Clean yet round finish. Herbaceous, not too earthy. You'd expect Chateau Beaucastel to create a delicious Rhône with Cali grapes that you'd have a hard time knowing it was it wasn't from France. Drink now, but I'm saving my last bottle for a couple more years.

Bottle of surprises! This one took a while to open up but got better with every sip. Rich with tannins, complexity off the charts, tobacco, dried fruit.

What tablas does best with true to style Rhône blends! Juicy, tomacco, herbs de Provence.

Elegant, robust structure, yet light footed.
