Nose is cranberry, mint, minerals, powdery effect, wet earth, dead leaves. Really developed and complex. Palate is lacey and so elegant. Limpid and ethereal. Nimble and racy with great energy and tangy cherry and cranberry fruit. Finishes wish energy, acid and mineral and lingering sour cherry. Great wine!

Jan 22nd, 2023Stunning nose. Crunchy berry fruit. Cherry. Licorice. Gorgeous. Strawberry. Some mineral. So clean, so layered and so precise. Cranberry. So much earthiness. Smells like a great SLB 1er Cru. Palate is sweet, crunchy, sappy and sumptuous. Velvety tannins and terrific freshness and cut. Sweet fruit and long. Mineral accented finish. Really nice fruit sap on the Finish. This needs air tho. I’ll be back. Picking up weight, tannins, sap and sweetness. So good

Apr 30th, 2020First taste of the 2016. Nose is gorgeous. 16 was an ideal ripening season Sven told me and he picked when he wanted and this nose is spectacular. It’s bramble with mid season cherry fruit, spice and mineral. Really fragrant. It’s incredibly earthy and mineral. After some air gorgeous raspberry and strawberry. Almost a Nebbiolo like vibe. Palate is terrifically juicy and sweet with incredibly tiny cherry fruit intensity. Like only the best cherrie from a large bowl. A sweet tartness with terrific freshness and wonderful acidity. Awesome.
