New producer introduced to me by my favorite local wine shop in Modesto, CA– Bestie. Excellent GSM / Rhône blend of 30% Syrah, 20% Granache, 15% mourvedre and 15% Sangio. Fruit from Santa Barbara County, made in Lompoc, CA. They even share profits with the vineyard crew!

2023 vintage. Medium/medium-heavy body. Fruit. Tannins. Drinkability, balance and structure. Decidedly delicious and something for everyone. OMG...pair this with anything from veggie skewers to land-based proteins to darker-fleshed fish (Mahi, Tuna, Sword) and thicker, oily, succulent white-fleshed fish such as Patagonian Toothfish...err...Chilean Sea Bass and Al(askan) Hal(but). Wouldn't age it for a decade but for crushing in the next 4-5 years...approval from the Kool-Aid Man. "Oh Yeah!" 7.8.26.
