Aging well. Color is dark, saturated to the rim. Fruit smells a little of age. But should age another ten. Potting soil, blackberry.

Dark and opaque. Rich, earthy nose. Lots of sediment and the wine seemed almost chewy. Lots of dark fruit. Lush finish.

The only thing I dislike about this wine is the horrible label. There I said it! It's a great place, wonderful history and good wines... But the packaging is boring.

Showing great now. Gave it an hour and it evolved over the next 4. Starts with nose of dusty strawberries, sandalwood, leather, and earth. Resolved tannins, blackberry, sour cherry, and a little black raspberry. Definitely a tartness to the fruit. Shows some age too with a little prune and leather.
This wine is a sentimental favorite as it was the first wine we had at a tasting 10 years ago on my wife and my (almost) first date.

Nose and structure reminds me of a 1990’s california cab. Nice long finish with earthy notes throughout. Drank 1/2 the bottle on night one and the other 1/2 on night two. Better on night two, so I averaged the score between big he a one and two.

fun new year’s eve wine. interestingly there are almost no signs of age here - still so young and ridiculously powerful even 14 years in. oak and fruit are still prominent. i’d imagine this needs another 10-15 years to integrate and mellow out (at least for my palate). if drinking now i’d give this 4+ hours of air
