This has matured into a big, ok huge, full throttle mouthful of CA Cabernet. Plum, cassis, fig paste, espresso and chocolate. Full mouthfeel and velvety finish. Absolutely requires a grilled bone in rib-eye.

07’ Seven Stone. Still quite purple in color. Blackberry, blueberry & jam flavors, dark chocolate, tea. This wine is still rather rich & dense. Have to say it has a elegance about it. This could possibly be in it’s prime for another decade. We shall see.
Nothing quite like it. Reminds me of a combination of Lail Mole Hill & Robert Keenan Reserve 😳

Third blind wine for this weekend tasting.

Deep purplish ruby red. A bit tight to start on the nose and a touch dirty. After a couple hours of breathing this opened up with a ton of dark cocoa and black cherries. Heavy woody tannins (8.5/10) and full bodied with an almost chalky or powdery texture. Layered palate with cinnamon, cassis and more black fruits. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. (94+)

Killer wine and some serious juice by Aaron Pott.

First sip is good, see how it is after a good decant,
90 min decant, very good now
