What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this wine it totally over delivers for the price! Almost all tertiary with hint of stewed red fruit. Def at its peak! 👍👍 Perf with a rib-eye on the grill on a summer evening as we try to find some joy during this sad time. 🙏

Hard to believe this is 19-yr old Dolcetto. Earthy stewy cherry with nice acids and soft soft mouthfeel. Shows its age in some ways but also feels strangely timeless - like a pretty older woman who’s never had any work done.

Super unique one-off Dolcetto - accidentally harvested late and they turned it into a wine that’s drinking well almost 20 years later. Definite earthy notes that are on the same level of cherry and plum tones.

Elegant nose of blackberry, saddle leather, cocoa nib, cedar - reminds me of old BDX. Medium body, medium plus grainy tannin, high acid. Linear but gains plushness with air. Finishes slightly salty and chalky. Aromatically mature but texturally youthful. Very fine.

Time is the ultimate winemaker. Develops amazing balsamic, woody aromas after being left open for 24 hours, accompanied by denser weight at the center.

Insane value. Explosion of fig and cherry on the nose.

Incredibly soft tannins with earthy ripe red fruit - berries, possibly. Like a barbaresco but without the long finish. Ridiculous for the price.
