Might have had an off bottle, tasted sour and mildly fruity but not much else happening flavor-wise

Pop and pour yesterday. This has a beaujolais nouveau vibe: light rose in color, low ABV (11%), maybe carbonic maceration based on the slight bubblegum/jolly rancher note(?). Anyway, fresh and solid. On the nose: cherry lipstick, jolly rancher. On the palate: solid acidity, light-bodied, lovely soft burgundy color, but a somewhat short finish.

Looks, smells, and tastes like Hi-C fruit punch. This is not a bad thing, though the flavors don't really pop out until the wine comes up closer to room temperature (assuming you chilled it beforehand). At various points I caught notes of cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, and rhubarb. A fun, non-pretentious take on a RhΓ΄ne grape not often featured on its own. 100% Counoise. 6/13/22.
