Excellent! Matched well with the dark cherry notes.

big oak, especially considering the age, tastes younger than it is since it was 100% new French oak. violet, blackberry, and a touch of smoke.

Rudd is an all time favorite. The wine and location is top notch. The texture is smoother than anything and the nose is incredibly bold. The 2005 is drinking like a dream, I can't wait to let this sit a few more years.

Always does it for me. A little more age would have made a fantastic drink even more so.
