Delicious, classic Paso Robles. Dried stone fruit, especially apricot and a touch of metallic tannins. Complex all around.

My kind of wine. Heady and complex with a lot of personality.

Full and ripe without going overboard. Dark, brambly fruit, black pepper, tobacco, vanilla. Not the most complex wine but very delicious. This is in the zone at 8 years old.

One of California's most elegant zinfandels comes from this vineyard by way of this winemaker.

Surprisingly structured. Dark fruit and a long earthy finish. This is good stuff.

Fruit forward and delicious. Bright red cherries, tobacco, some pear, and hibiscus on the nose. Lucious minerality and soft tannins beside big fruit in form of red apple and brisk cherry. Seems less complex and more substantial than Ridge's other vineyard selections. I do like it- just not as much as Lytton Springs or East Bench.

Partial to Ridge's Zinfadels, in particular the Lyton Springs and Pagani Ranch which can be a bit overwhelming for some given its higher alcohol content. Paso Robles seems more accessible but would have to drink again as first bottle rather than fourth of night to get a better assessment.
