Alesia Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

If you have it, drink it. Fruit is fading.

Very nice but with a little spicy edge to the fruit. Better with decanting time.

Red candied cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, green raspberry, slight butter burnt tea.

I tasted the Alesia Anderson Valley bottling of the same vintage a while back and was very impressed. This might be better, leaning more savory and mineral, with cooler mountain tension.

The fruit has mellowed with age into deeper red tones, framed by forest floor, crushed rock, and a subtle herbal edge. The palate remains lively with fresh acidity carrying the medium body with poise. A long, precise finish.

Vanilla cherry on nose, light vanilla spice and floral honey on taste, mid palate subtle pepper with light finish; light tannin at end, balanced

Elegant black fruit, full palate, pleasing and long finish

Fascinating nose. This smells very different indoors and outdoors. Indoor it’s more dense, earl grey tea, cherries, stems. Outdoor it is huge pomegranate, bright cherry, some earth. Palate is very nice with more cherries, tea, pomegranate, some sort of floral/stem like component. Long finish. Very good and will hold my other bottle for a few more years.

Nice but a bit too young. Mostly cherry flavors, medium bodied.
