A very solid wine but I had it just tasting, without food, which was tough. About half merlot, the remainder cab and Petit Verdot.

Dark Ruby. Opulent nose, with plum, cherries and other red fruits. Soft palate, with integrated tannins and a tinge of acidity. Long finish.

Fantastic! The more recent vintages are starting to get out of my price range (but kudos to Juan and the team for the awesome success), but I love the character of the older vintages. The 2009 Tempest has great balance and a pretty seamless finish. Probably at peak right now, so drink up!

Realm the tempest 2009. Thanks to Susan who has an awesome collection and shares with family and friends! Nose is "not hot" nice cab. Very nice balance on palate tannins good for more years to come. Beautiful balance on palate, blueberry, cherry, chocolate. Awesome!

This is just pure greatness! Full throttle and so enjoyable! Upon opening and as it sits just wonderful big flavor. Long finish , cinnamon and tobacco on nose, plum and anise and jam on palate!
