Brief notes. Meaty aromas - very savoury. See previous notes re this being Bryan Martin’s private venture while still working at Clonakilla with their Shiraz Viognier being the benchmark in the country. Love this Northern Rhone style wine. I was expecting pepper but got more spice and charcuterie.

Ravensworth is the private venture of Bryan Martin who is the winemaker together with Tim Kirk, at the nearby and famous Clonakilla - arguably the benchmark for Shiraz Viognier in Australia. Wonderful spicy scents together with a floral note from the Viognier. Medium weight with meaty, savoury spicy flavours on the palate. My kind of Shiraz blend and in the frame of Clonakilla with better QPR.

Red fruits, high toned florals, spice, slightly smoky and super herbal with no noticeable oak. Doesn't flirt with northern Rhone, but is its own thing all together. The medium bodied palate is complimented with gorgeous satin like tannins met with thunderous fruit intensity

Mid to deep Ruby. Notes dried meats and spices with hints of vanilla oak. Made by Bryan Martin who is also the assistant wine maker at Clonakilla so, obviously knows a thing or two about premium Shiraz Viognier! Great that Tim Kirk lets Bryan do his own thing on the side. This a very good wine at a great price.

Superbly slick, polished with high acid and a touch of canned peaches wriggling around amidst the black fruits
