Hiding in the background in the hat is Carlo Mondavi. In the fore his first release. Behind the camera our hats are off at an outstanding debut. Out of frame are a cadre of Champagne producers heaping praise & draining their glasses.

My brother and my first vintage of RAEN (rain) Pure expressions using neutral oak barrels, native yeasts, 70 percent whole cluster and an average of 15 days extended maceration... We picked between two and five AM in the cool of the night to retain fruit and flower. Tiny production of 90 cases so if you find a bottle I hope you enjoy!

This is the new Raen Pinot from Carlo and Dante Mondavi. A little tight, but it was just bottled a week ago so that's expected. Give it some time and this will show beautifully.

The fullest of all 3, but still light on its feet. Very impressive structure and love to see no new wood. These boys are on to something, will be fun to watch this project evolve

Big fruit, initially lighter but added lots of weight with air. Really fascinating wine that should be better and more complex with a few more years in bottle.
