V13. Young...can't wait! Soft oak and slight smoke on the bouquet. Nice jammy black cherry fruit. Slightly tight mocha and chalky finish. Very nice now and will get better.

A trace to much american oak for my taste (but really any on zin is) but underneath that shows the purity and freshness of 2013 combined with the skilled hand of the winemaker, whose background in Pinot comes through loud and clear. I wish more dcv zin was made in this style. Nicely done Hugh Chapelle!
