This Zinfandel from Predator makes me feel like I’m on a stroll through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, stalked by flavors of tobacco, jam, cherry, spice, and everything nice. Umpa Lumpa’s chanting songs of intoxication and merriment lull me into bliss. This Zinfandel is the golden ticket.

Very light body for a Zin—thin with more red color than I expect from a zin. VERY smoky/peppery. Very alcoholic tasting. Nothing I expect from a zin. I’m not going to finish it.

Dry, good unaerated, smoke ‘n oak, medium-bodied, decent tannins and a bit of fruit. Likely good for mulling.

Pretty light for a Zin. Lots of spicy, hint of smoke.

Really good and weird - you want an ‘interesting red’ hooo boy

This was delicious. If it was $60 a bottle, I would give it a 7.5-8. But it’s only $15, so it gets an A! Wasn’t as light as a typical red zin. I would enjoy this year round. This is going to be a great weekday sipper.

Honestly...purchased this wine for pallet training and honing blinding skills....but this is a nice diversion from the acid and tannin bombs we’ve been having. Stewed jammy fruits, peach yogurt and some wintergreen. Nice change of pace and quite enjoyable

Bold, fruity with just the right amount of smokiness. Like sipping it by itself but have also paired with with beef and Chicken Marsala.
