An Aglianico from Campania. Mouldy Savoury raspberries with aromas of barnyard and stable manure. Intensely savoury. My notes do not do justice to this Central Italian Red. In summary I very much liked it. Tasted again 9 weeks later. Notes as above but seems more highly savoury with notes of wet nappy and geranium. Don’t get me wrong but highly recommended.

May 14th, 2018Earthy and savoury with aromas of dried plum , some stalky notes and cocoa powder. Medium length with medium - tannins. Love it and an excellent accompaniment to Capriciossa Pizza. This Aglianico is from Campania rather than it's normal domain of Basicalata.
