This 2008 Chardonnay has matured nicely with a golden yellow hue and a fragrant nose of caramel and sweet corn. It continues with a sweetness in the mouth with a pleasant element of acid that allows the wine to nicely pair with food and finally finishes with a floral quality that lingers with flavors of lilacs and floral probably that is quite pleasant. A complex wine that drink easily and satisfies and is aging nicely.

Does it get any better than Peter Michael Chard? I think not. And for the 2008s - none are bad but this one is at or near the top.
