Alas, quite overripe for my palate, perhaps the product of a hot vintage. I don’t have a lot of experience with this producer. Boysenberries and violets, a bit of campfire. A plodder

A fresh starter, loaded with light, bright cherry and strawberry, some twiggy wood, low acidity.

Tonight's wine is the 2015 Penner-Ash Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

On the nose is cherry, raspberry, vanilla, cola, clove, caramel, oak and earth.

On the palate is cherry, raspberry, rose petal, vanilla, sassafrass, clove, big on the oak and earth.

This wine is medium bodied with medium acidity and medium to plus smooth fine tannin that leads to medium to long finish. Have a great week and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

2018 vintage.
Grapes are harvested from 6 AVAs .
Perfumed nose with flavours of blueberries, strawberries, tea and violets.
Raspberries, red plums, baking spice, brown sugar and leather with velvety tannins.
This wine spends 10 months in French oak at 23 % new.
We had kimchi and whole crab nabe (Japanese hot pot) with homemade gyoza.
Love it!!

Okay, what ever. I like it. Nice mouthful of dark ripe cherries with an essence of leather and tobacco. Modest grip and smooth silky finish. Definitely a 2 Bottle dinner wine.

Bigger and jammier than other pinots. Did not pair well with salmon.
