Jasnières Chenin Blanc

Waxy, honeyed, floral and bracing acidity. Really great for the price.

* appearance: light golden yellow
* aromas: peach, bruised apple, lees notes, hints of white flowers
* palate: mineral tinged yellow apple and pear
* structure: medium body, medium+ acid, slight residual sugar, 13.5% alcohol
* finish: medium length
* winemaking: fermentation allowed to stop when acid and sugar in balance then aged in stainless steel on the lees, a Kermit Lynch import
* cost: $21 on release

Zing bish

A little floral seeetness but acidity cuts it nicely. Amazing value

Pretty Chenin. Palate reminds me of demi-sec Vouvray

Overly sweet but not to be too offensive. Paired with a foie which actually worked quite well.

Think Riesling meets Viognier.
