Lots of ripe fruit upon opening. After an hour or so, fruit calmed down a bit which made it come together more for me. Blackberry, dark cherry, vanilla oak. Grippy tannins w med acidity.

Black cherry and raspberry syrup, meaty, oaky spice and a little mineral beam. Decent qpr for $15 at Costco.

Dark ruby red and high in alcohol. Hints of cherry, licorice and cough syrup. Nicely balanced with well integrated tannins and a smooth finish.

Deep ruby colour. The nose is clean and developing, displaying aromas of ripe dark fruit such as dark cherries and dark plums, spices like liquruorice and black pepper. After swirling the glass oaky notes of clove and hints of lavender begin to emerge.

It is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has fine-grained tannins and a high but well-integrated alcohol strenght. It is fleshy and full-bodied with a pronounced concentration. The finish is long.

Outstanding wine, it shows complexiy provided by floral, spicy and oak ageing notes, a great concentration and finish and a nice balance between fruit concentration, the alcohol and the tannic structure.

A very nice drinking Priorat that is pairing particularly well with spicy salumis and sausages.
