Wine can be such an emotional experience. Like a great song, a wine can take you back. Well I just did a little time traveling tonight. As soon as my nose hit the glass, I was transported back to an evening at dinner with friends where I popped the cork on a 1995 Pahlmeyer Merlot. The floral nose was so profound, I actually thought my wife had tainted my glass with her perfume. Just like walking through a florist shop. If all Merlot was like this, I'd be "drinking a lot more f-ing Merlot!" 10 points for the memory. Thanks Helen Turley. You'll always be one of my favorites
