NV Overture by Opus One. Bordeaux style red. Likely 2000-2001 vintage wine. Intense black cherry, cassis liqueur, graphite mixed with fig, wet leaves and vanilla spice. Soft tannins. A bit one dimensional but delish with a NY strip. #wine

Bought this wine nearly 10 years ago during an Opus tour for my dad's 85th birthday. Recently opened it to celebrate 8 yrs for my business. Dad was included in the celebration!

This was a beauty! Big bold fruit that was mostly from 2009 with a bit of 2010 fruit (hence the NV). Very much a Cali Cab vs the Opus which is very much Bordeaux in style in every way. Great bottle!

Classic Valley Floor in style. Eucalyptus, slightest hint of bell pepper. Black fruit and cedar dominates.

Amazing wine! Loaded with ripe fruit notes of dark cherry, plum, and black raspberry. Tannins are not overpowering and the wine is very smooth.

Don’t underestimate this NV. the 2014 release. I’d hold this for 5 years easy.

450 cases of this cuvée produced. Black and brooding. Silky and dry, with a nice depth of currant and earth notes.

Had this wonderful wine at Opus One winery in St. Helena and had to get a bottle. Will likely wait for a special day to drink it with the bf! :)
